Jack Gramm, a university professor who also works as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI, receives a death threat telling him he has 88 minutes to live. To save himself, Jack must use all his skills and training to get closer and closer to the possible suspects, including a disgruntled student, a former lover he abandoned, and a serial killer already on death row.
